'Have A Go' Crown Kit
The 'Have A Go' Crown is designed exactly as it says. It is an open ended beginner sewing kit that has been created for children to explore sewing in a safe, friendly and expectation free way. The free form nature allows their imagination and creativity to flow with the coloured threads and embellishments providing endless scope.
The sewing kit contains a felt crown with a pre-attached ribbon tie and lots of little attachments allowing children to create a completely unique design while building their stitching confidence through an engaging mindful activity. The kit is designed to be used by even the youngest of children with appropriate support and supervision. Please note: the sewing needle in this project is sharp due to the felt base.
The kit contains:
- A felt crown with pre-attached ribbon tie (Colours vary but may include orange, green, pink, purple or blue - if you would like a particular colour, or to avoid a particular colour, please specify this in the additional comments box on your details form and I will do my best to accommodate your request where possible.)
- A sharp sewing needle complete with a handy needle threader
- 2 colours of stranded embroidery thread
- A minimum of 12 assorted mini beads
- A minimum of 8 assorted buttons
- A minimum of 12 assorted felt shapes
- 2 fun foam pieces to cut your own shapes from
There are some instructions included in this kit explaining how you can achieve some of the decorative stitches, however, as it says on the label, there is not right or wrong way to complete this crown. It is all about having a go, experimenting and finding out for yourself!
